Most eventful day...

Sat Dec 1, 2007, 10:49 PM
  • Mood: Tired
Today was a fun and full of things for telling.

First mention: SNOW! It's hard to drive in it. Especially when it's 9 in the morning and the snow plows have yet to parade through the streets. I spent 10 minutes after my lesson getting all of the snow off my windshield, then I spent an hour shoveling my driveway. Ugh.

I then went to the MOA to buy 2 ounces of delicious rooibos, or red tea, from Teavana. Mnnn. Also went to GameStop to check on a deal they had there, and I am happy to say that I am half the owner of a rather old and used PS2. The other half is an early Christmas present for my sister. But, coincidentally, my half of the PS2 was my sister's early Christmas present to me! We bought each other the same present. How embarrassing!

On my way out to the train station, I met Mr. Strassburg, who was there shopping for Christmas presents. I learned that he'd bought enough to promt him to return to his car. And he was still shopping.

I went to work, where I scanned tickets for the first time. It was pretty exciting. While I was there, I also saw Mrs. Pargal and her husband. We talked about my job, which was a little awkward, but it was fun to see her there.

When I got out of work and was walking to the train station, I was stopped by a bus driver who offered me a free ride to 5th Street. It felt really nice not to have to walk in the cold and the snow.

Lastly, a funny (or disturbing, you choose) story. After I got on the LRT, there was a middle-aged woman there with her sister and mother. Getting on the train was a couple on their first date, a man who had just moved to Woodbury from a southern state and a Spanish speaking woman who works at a salon in the MOA. This man was so surprised (as was everyone, I assume) to find the middle-aged woman, mentioned earlier, sucking on a candy penis (I wish I could see your face). Apparantly, she, her sister and her mother were going to go shopping, but the fact that all the stores were closed stopped them from doing so. So, they decided to go to Sex World, which was the only store they could find that was still open. They then continued their story, loudly; The mother, probably at 60 years or more, had ridden the penis "bull." I think I'll be done telling this story now...

When the train got to the Mall of America, the group gave out hugs and promised to call each other. The the southern man decided I should get a hug for having to sit there and listen to them. So I got hugged a a strange man on the LRT. After that, the middle-aged woman decided she wanted to hug me to, thus I got hugged by a strange woman holding a candy penis on the LRT.

So how was your day?
